Project Details

A warehouse in Iceland, with 2.500 m² concrete floor. The new concrete floor was to be provided with a non-visible protective layer. In addition to reducing dust through abrasion, the surface was to be given additional protection against dirt and sealed. Additional strength and hardening was also desired.

Project Solutions

The new concrete floor of the warehouse was treated with SiliBond 970 a reactive silicate solution.
SiliBond 970 reacts actively with the cement and froms a crystalline net. This provides a massive strengthening and sealing of the concrete. The stabilisation and hardening of the surface avoids dust creation and the penetration of water.

The coating with SiliBond 970 does not hinder following coating. Either with another layer of SiliBond 970 or with protective coating BlocSil 790 is possible.

Silibond 970 enhances new and old concrete and acts as a curing agent on fresh concrete where it avoids too quick drying and the resulting damages.
