CURTAIN INJECTION

is the injection of a waterproof layer, creating a sealing membrane around the building

Curtain injection is the injection of a waterproof layer, a so-called sealing membrane, directly behind the building structure. This waterproof layer forms a barrier between wall and soil, floor and soil or tunnel shell and rock. This layer is elastic and swellable in contact with water. The application behind the building structure is a gel curtain injection. Gel curtains create a gel membrane and seal floor slabs, walls and tunnel linings permanently.
Curtain injections, create a gel membrane outside the building structure and seal floor slabs and walls permanently.
This cost efficient method seals without digging or excavation. The choice is between acrylate and polyurethane gels. With Polygel PU 660, ARCAN offers a PUR gel ready to use with a standard 2-component pump, alternatively a PUR gel concentrate is available. HydroBloc Polygel 530 acrylate based gel comes with clever additives and a new instant powder accelerator system which reduces the number of components. This system is suitable for all acrylate gel applications, from slow setting to fast setting, there is no need to change gel type, the choice of the suitable additive and or accelerator is sufficient.
