The capillary suction of the building materials transports the water or moisture into the building material and thus damages the masonry and the plaster.

Horizontal barrier system prevent against rising damp. They are available as easy to process cream and liquid. Horizontal barriers prevent the capillary sucking by different methods. Active reactive siloxane solutions, work chemically, while other system block the capillaries and provide an additional benefit such as strengthening. The choice is yours, between Silicone micro emulsion (SMK), reactive siloxane and capillary blocking systems.
