FOAM FOLLOW UP

Foaming resins such as waterstop resins are very popular and regularly bring good success in stopping running water. Particularly 1-component waterstop foam is used a lot and often the necessary post-injection is dispensed with.

A second injection with a non-foaming resin is important, as waterstop foam is always only a temporary seal. Water can penetrate through the pores and the leakage occurs again. Therefore, it is recommended to use a solid non-foaming injection resin for the second injection.
There are different types of injection resin available for post-injection. Rigid, flexible and swellable systems. The swellable resins have a special position, as they are able to repair themselves and thus prevent a new leakage.
