Void Filling and Ground Stabilization
Initial Situation
Investigations at a historic monument in Kharkiv revealed the presence of underground voids and weakened soil zones beneath the structure. These conditions resulted in insufficient load transfer and increased the risk of settlement, potentially threatening the stability of the building.
As the structure was of significant historical importance, all rehabilitation measures had to be carried out with maximum precision and minimal risk to the existing fabric of the monument.
Project Challenge

Conventional polyurethane foams are often not ideal for such applications because they may continue to expand after injection. This can create unwanted lifting forces and increase the risk of damage to sensitive structures.

Unlike conventional polyurethane foams, Planfloor 595 does not continue to expand after the reaction is complete. This eliminates the risk of uncontrolled lifting and allows the injection process to be carried out with a high degree of accuracy and confidence.
